Fading away

Fading Apart was a seed project, one of my first attempts at using photography as more than just documentation. The work consisted of projecting the image of a woman onto a checkered floor and a worn, peeling wall. In this fusion of body and space, a subtle process of fading emerged: the figure seemed to dissolve into her surroundings, blurring the boundaries between presence and disappearance.

The project was born from a deeply personal emotional state—feelings of solitude, disorientation, and disconnection from both the world and myself. It embodied an inner struggle between fading away and coming back, between dissolving and being reborn. Although it started as an experiment, it became a turning point, opening the path to understanding photography not merely as an image, but as a ritual of self-exploration, memory, and identity.
