“Step by step, a path is traced through lost objects, accompanied by whispers of wandering souls, by stories marked by oblivion, covered in solitude and emptiness, like echoes resounding endlessly, like the time of that restless clock I just found.”
—Paula Pastrana
ECHO was born as my thesis in Digital Image Photography. It was carried out in an abandoned place that, at that time, was inhabited by people experiencing homelessness. Through photography and digital scanning, I sought to explore how objects, architecture, and bodies could speak of presence, memory, and representation.
Objects, faces, and hands turned into digital archives through a basic scanner, creating a bridge between memory and representation.
Direct records of objects exactly as they appeared in the space.
The building and its deterioration as a body that holds both life and neglect.
